Warmer temps Friday afternoon

Highs in the mid 50s

DETROIT – Grab the jacket and the sunglasses today as sunshine will help temps this afternoon rebound into the low 50s.

Winds will be much lighter NW 6-12 mph throughout the day.

Computer models are split on Saturday with bringing rain into the area. Most of the rain will stay south into Indiana and Ohio. But, expect some afternoon rain showers in Detroit and along and south of I-696. The farther north you are, the dryer you will stay. Either way, cloud cover will keep temps down into the upper 40s and low 50s.

Sunday will be the nicer of the two weekend days with sun returning and highs into the mid and upper 50s.
