Patchy fog working it's way through Metro Detroit

Highs in the upper 50s

DETROIT – That sun will bring highs into the upper 50s to near 60 degrees in a few of our suburbs. Winds will be on the light side S 5-10 mph. A big change is coming overnight.

Rain and wicked winds will be moving in fast after midnight for early Thursday. Tomorrow will be wet ahead of a cold front with a chance for scattered storms capable of producing some wind damage.

Again, that will be early tomorrow morning. And then after the cold front blows through, those winds will start cranking SW 20-30 mph with stronger gusts 40-50 mph. This could cause some problems with power outages around Metro Detroit Thursday. Highs early will be in the low and mid 50s and then falling down into the 40s through tomorrow afternoon and evening.

The wind will be blowing hard again Friday as cooler air moves in and we will likely see a few lake enhanced showers. These showers could see a few wet snowflakes mixing in as temps will be dropping. Otherwise, mostly cloudy and cooler in the mid 40s with winds W 20-30 mph gusting harder at times.
