Pleasant Thursday shaping up with only a slight chance of rain

More Showers?

DETROIT – A cold front crossed the area early this morning, taking the overnight band of showers and thundershowers with it.

Skies will become partly cloudy, but a small upper level weather disturbance will cross the area during the afternoon, giving us the chance for a few scattered showers.

Not everybody will get a shower (in fact, many of you won't), but there is a chance.  Highs in the upper 70s.

Skies become mostly clear tonight, with lows near 60.

We're looking at a nearly identical weather story on Friday…partly cloudy skies with some scattered afternoon showers or even thunderstorms this time,  and highs in the upper 70s.

Another cold front will bring showers and thunderstorms Friday night.

My computer models then diverge significantly as to whether or not any of this rain will linger into Saturday, so stay tuned.  But I am confident that Sunday will be mostly sunny!
