DETROIT – It's a cold start to your Thursday morning, but wind has diminished significantly overnight and wind chill shouldn't be a major issue.
We'll see plenty of sun today, but it won't warm us up much…highs only in the low 20s.
Wind will be very light this morning, and then blow from the southwest at 10 mph by late afternoon.
Clouds increase tonight and this, combined with milder air moving this way, will keep temperatures steady in the low 20s.
Friday looks partly cloudy, windy, and warmer, with highs roaring back into the low to mid 40s.
A cold front swinging through Saturday morning may give us a flurry or two, but otherwise just drop our temps a notch back into the upper 30s.
Sunday and Monday also look dry, and the cooling trend behind Saturday's cold front really takes hold, with highs only in the mid 20s both days.
Tuesday into Wednesday gets really interesting…the overnight computer models bring another storm system into the Great Lakes region with potentially a mixed bag of precipitation.
Some models bring us more rain than snow, and other models bring us more snow than rain.
And, of course, ice would throw a real monkey-wrench into the works.
The big question is: will we get the three inches of snow needed to break our all-time seasonal snowfall record of 93.6 inches set in 1880-81? Stay tuned!
