Rain and fog are rolling into Metro Detroit this morning, and the leading edge may produce some brief freezing rain.
Be aware of icy spots early this morning, but most of this wet weather will be liquid and will still make your commute slow and slippery. Rain lasts through the lunch hour and will be moving out from south to north into the early afternoon. That’s great news for the Meridian Winter Blast which starts downtown Detroit at 4pm in cloudy skies and temps in the low 40s.

Much of SE Lower Michigan and Southern Ontario will see a chance for 50 degree plus temps Saturday and Sunday.  A warm front moving through Saturday may bring a scattered shower or two with it, but don’t cancel your plans as most of the day is just mostly cloudy and warmer.  A few showers late Saturday and early Sunday morning and then a final round late Sunday into Monday with lighter showers rather than any heavy rains.
Temperatures hold steady in the 40s for the first half of next week. Then, winter returns with colder temps and light snow chances by Wednesday and Thursday. You can stay ahead of the rain and when the cold returns with the Local4Casters app and take the weather with you.
