Mostly cloudy, few drizzles this afternoon in metro Detroit

DETROIT – It will be a dryer second half of the day with mostly cloudy skies and nothing more than a few areas of drizzle through the afternoon.

Highs will only hit the mid 40s and hover there through the afternoon and evening and light winds will become a bit stronger after lunch NE 7-13 mph gusting to 18 mph.

There is a pattern setting up where wet weather will be more impactful during the morning and midday and dryer in the afternoon.

That will be the case again tomorrow.

Rain will be a bit more widespread and heavier Wednesday morning with highs eventually climbing back into the mid to maybe upper 40s.

Game 2 at Comerica Park tomorrow has a chance for some scattered, light rain early and then improving throughout the game, so grab the rain gear just in case.

Thursday and Friday brings warmer air, breezy conditions, and more intense rain chances.

We will likely see and hear some rain and thundershowers and storms later in the week as highs climb back into the upper 50s to low and mid 60s Thursday.

And, if morning showers break leaving some sun, we could make a run at 65-70 degrees for some. Expect a few rain and thundershowers to end the work and school week Friday with gusty winds and highs again in the low 60s.
