Rain moving in Saturday, temps in the mid 50s

Get ready for a wild weekend of weather!

Saturday will start dry, but rain will overspread the I-69 corridor and points north. Metro Detroit should remain dry until rain develops by mid-to-late afternoon. Highs will initially struggle into the low to mid 50s by Saturday afternoon, but then continue rising into the evening after a warm front comes through. In fact, we'll probably be in the upper 50s to near 60 by midnight!

Sunday may start dry for Metro Detroit, but there could be some lingering rain up in the Thumb. Regardless, rain and thunderstorms should develop sometime Sunday afternoon, with some stronger wind gusts possible. As long as the rain holds off, temperatures tomorrow should reach the low 70s. Then a cold front arrives Sunday night, knocking us back into the 50s for the start of the new work week.
