Rain in store for Trick-or-Treaters in metro Detroit Saturday

Highs reach mid 50s Saturday

DETROIT – The Local 4Casters are predicting plenty of rain will be in the area Saturday night as metro Detroiters prepare for a night of Trick-or-Treating.

Paul Gross will keep you updated on changes in the forecast throughout the night. You can check in with the video above for his latest forecast.

Paul will keep you up-to-date on forecast changes throughout the night right here on ClickOnDetroit.com.

Alright, the most important part of this forecast (for most people) is during the prime Trick-or-Treating hours – 6 to 8 p.m. - and this is when some rain is going to approach our area.

Local 4Casters: Rain may let up for brief period

Take a look at this image from my RPM computer model for 6:30 Saturday evening. You can see how close the rain is. Obviously, the actual rain pattern that verifies later today could vary from what you see here, but this is the general idea I'm trying to convey: Rain chances increase as the evening wears on, and those of you in our western and far northern suburbs will get it first.

So my advice is to get out as early as possible with the kids. Temperatures this evening should be around 50 degrees (10 degrees Celsius).

To help you plan later today, I will bring you frequent live weather updates starting at 4 p.m. just before the Breeders Cup on Local 4, and continuing through Local 4 News at 6 and into the early evening (don't worry, I'll try not to interrupt the actual Breeders Cup broadcast. I'll do most updates during commercial breaks).

If you won't be in front of the T.V. don't worry:  I'll show you live radar and temperatures on special ClickOnDetroit.com updates through push alerts on our free Local4Casters weather app (make sure your notifications are turned on), and on Twitter (@PGLocal4). Also, don't forget to take pictures of your precious little Trick-or-Treaters and pin your best photo on Storm Pins. I'll show a whole bunch of them on Local 4 News at 6 and 11. Your kids could be on TV!

Highs will be in the mid 50s (12 degrees Celsius for our Canadian neighbors). South winds will increase to 10 to 15 m.p.h. by Saturday afternoon.

It will be partly cloudy and warmer on Sunday, with highs in the low 60s (17 degrees Celsius). Then, it will be mostly clear Sunday night, with lows in the mid 40s (7 degrees Celsius).

Get ready for a spectacular stretch of mild November weather with mostly sunny skies Monday through Wednesday. Highs will be in the 60s and lows will be in the upper 40s to low 50s. In fact, I think we'll hold off an approaching front and extend the nice weather into Thursday. I sure hope so, because I'm off next Thursday and want to play golf with Roger Weber!
