Scattered thunderstorms -- a few of them strong to severe -- are possible through the evening hours, but the activity should end after midnight as a cold front crosses the area.
Temperatures in our northern and western suburbs will drop into the 50s by morning, with those of you to the south and east perhaps still hanging in the low 60s.
Tuesday will bring partly cloudy skies, with the chance for some isolated afternoon showers.
Highs only near 70° (60s north of M-59), and northwest wind at 10-15 mph will certainly make it feel a bit chilly for mid-August!
But don’t worry…we’ll have sunshine the rest of the week and all the way through the upcoming weekend, with temps in the low 70s on Wednesday then rising steadily into the low 80s for the weekend.
Wednesday would be a great day to wash your car…you’ll get some longevity out of that car wash!
