Record highs lead to mild evening in Detroit

Clouds roll in overnight

DETROIT – Two days... two record highs! We hit 77 degrees this afternoon, breaking our existing record for this date, of 75. There's still a shot for three-in-a-row tomorrow, but the chance is slim.

Overnight, clouds start to move in, mainly after midnight.  Fog will also develop overnight in more spots than we've seen in the last couple nights.  Lows will be milder in the mid 50s.

Thursday, once the fog burns off, mostly cloudy skies remain.  That will keep temperatures slightly cooler, only around 70.  Tomorrow's record high is 74 so we'll be close, but probably fall just short.

Rain starts arriving late Thursday, mainly after midnight.  Temperatures will only fall into the 60s by daybreak on Friday morning.

Scattered showers will continue through the first half of Friday.  But temperatures will fall from a morning high into the 50s by late in the day.  A cold front will cross the area around lunchtime.  Behind the front, windy conditions will move in.

Temperatures will be on a downtrend into the weekend, eventually moving back to around normal for this time in November.  Check the 10 Day Forecast for all numbers.
