Scattered thunderstorms move through SE Michigan

Storms to settle down by 7 p.m. in Metro Detroit

DETROIT – Scattered thundershowers are rolling through parts of Southeast Michigan this Thursday evening. Most of the activity is north of 8 Mile Road coming out of Livingston County and into parts of Oakland, Macomb, and Wayne counties.

The storms will settle down as we get past 7 p.m. as the late evening looks quite nice. We may see a few widely scattered showers overnight, but most of you will remain dry.

Friday will be a lot like today as temps will try to warm up and fire up a few rain and thundershowers by the late afternoon. So, most of the day is dry with temps near 80 degrees and scattered showers the most likely scenario. The best window for wet weather is 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. with the heat and instability of the afternoon hours.

Rain showers will be racing across our southern counties and south of Interstate 94 early Saturday morning. But most of the stormy weather will be through the area by mid-morning and most of your Saturday looks nice.

Highs will be in the middle 70s with partly cloudy skies and nothing more than a few isolated showers Saturday afternoon. Sunday will be a bit cooler but the dryer of the two weekend days.
