Local 4Casters say thundershowers on Thursday

DETROIT – SE Michigan and Southern Ontario are under a threat for severe weather Thursday with the main threat being damaging winds 50-60 mph around thunderstorms.

And, a lesser threat for hail and tornadoes.

Highs will warm into the low 60s and that afternoon heat will be a trigger along with the passage of a warm front later this afternoon.

Thursday's game at Comerica could be in jeopardy of delays with storms around the area.

Friday will be windy and a bit cooler. Highs start in the morning near 60 degrees and then fall through the mid 50s the rest of the day.

We may have a few showers around early but skies will turn partly cloudy and calm. Those winds will be blustery WSW 15-30 mph gusting to near 40 mph at times tomorrow.

The weekend looks great and dry. Highs Saturday will hit the low to mid 50s with sun and we should see sun and 60 degrees Sunday.

There is more rain coming to Metro Detroit Monday.
