Showers arrive and temperatures slowly rise

DETROIT - With clouds looming over the Motor City area, Tuesday morning will be chilly but not as cold as Monday with temps in the low 40s and upper 30s. Showers arrive ahead of warm front during the day with temperatures between 60 and 65 degrees in the afternoon.

Showers and thunderstorms are possible Tuesday night and Wednesday. Overnight temps will be in the middle 50s.

Despite rain, Wednesday will have a big warm-up. Highs will reach the low 80s in the afternoon.

Temps will moderate the rest of the week into the weekend and Race 4 The Cure. Thursday will be in the middle 70s. Friday and the weekend will have daytime temps near 70 and in the upper 60s.
