Forecast: Spotty drizzle, cooler air in metro Detroit

Cooler air in the forecast

DETROIT – Cooler air settles briefly getting our highs today only into the upper 50s to low 60s.

A cool northwest breeze 5-12 mph could also produce a few lake effect showers around SE Michigan with drizzle more likely especially in our northern counties.

Tomorrow will be another cool start in the 40s with partly cloudy skies early. The day will try to warm up into the upper 60s to near 70 degrees. We expect a mostly dry day although at least one of our models shows a few quick showers on the east side tomorrow afternoon. We'll keep you posted right here.

Great weather Thursday with highs back in the mid 70s. But, a cold front is on the way for Friday. This will bring significant rain to the area Friday and early Saturday and cool us off this weekend.
