Heavy rain, storms move through SE Michigan

All Severe Thunderstorm Watches, Warnings have been canceled for area

DETROIT – Heavy rain and thunderstorms moved across southeast Michigan on Saturday.

The National Weather Service put Detroit and all of southern Michigan in the "Slight Risk" category for severe thunderstorms Saturday afternoon and evening.

All Severe Thunderstorm Warnings and Watches have expired for the area.

Saturday night will have a chance of showers with lows in the 60s. Anyone with late-night plans will need to use caution on wet roads.

Sunday morning will be damp with lingering showers. the afternoon will be drier with partly sunny skies and highs in the low 70s. It will turn into a magnificent, mild day to head to the cider mill or the 2014 Renaissance Festival in Holly.

Again, fall begins at 10:29pm, Monday. The day will feel like autumn with sunny skies and highs only in the low 60s. Tuesday and Wednesday will be milder and mostly sunny with highs in the upper 60s.
