Local 4Casters: Warm, muggy Friday with small chance of rain

Highs in low 80s

DETROIT – Showers and thunderstorms are in the Detroit area's forecast for one more day, at least, but the weekend looks drier with continued warmth.

Showers and thunderstorms will mean a bumpy ride for many Motowners during the Friday morning commute. Wet roads and areas of reduced visibility are possible with temperatures in the upper 60s. Umbrellas and rain gear will be needed for pedestrians and folks at the bus stop.

Any rain moves away or dissipated by lunchtime, but it remains warm and humid for the afternoon. So the second half of Friday will have a few scattered showers and thunderstorms for the ride home from work or anyone with dinner plans. Detroit Lions, Rihanna and Eminem fans will need to use caution on wet streets leading to Ford Field and Comerica Park.

Friday night will be partly cloudy and mild with lows in the 60s overnight.

Saturday and Sunday will be partly to mostly sunny and remain warm. Afternoon temps will be in the low 80s. Conditions will be great after a wet week for families to finally head to the water park, pool or beach.

Humid, unstable air is set to return next week with more showers and thunderstorms.
