Single digit temperatures stick around Metro Detroit

Significant snow fall to hit Friday night, Saturday morning

DETROIT – Bundle everybody up with extra layers and get ready for cold temperatures.

By the afternoon we will stay in the mid to upper teens to near 20 degrees.

We may see a few lake effect snow showers but they will be scattered and on the lighter side.

Friday will be cold with another chance for afternoon or evening snow showers as we await what could be a big snow maker for the weekend.

Tomorrow high temps will hit the mid to upper 20s with lighter winds and only a few light snow showers late.

The computer models are bringing snow in very late Friday or early Saturday from the south.

That means it's a wet and heavy snow that should lay down at least 2-4" (maybe 4-5") through the first part of your weekend.

Saturday highs will get into the upper 20s to low 30s with snow falling.

A few leftover snow showers will hang around Sunday.

We'll keep you updated as the storm begins to track into Michigan later this week.

You'll find the latest radar images, cooling neighborhood temps, and an early look into your weekend forecast on the new ClickOnDetroit app (it's free!) in your app store.
