Snow-covered and windy morning in Michigan

Temps in the low to mid 20s, wind chills in the teens

DETROIT –  It's a snow covered and wind chilly SE Michigan this morning.

Temps are in the low to mid 20s but the wind chills are in the teens.

Bundle up! We will see lake enhanced clouds coming and going bringing a few flurries to the area.

Highs today will be in the mid to maybe upper 30s.

It will feel a bit cooler as the winds blow NW 10-15 mph gusting a bit stronger at times.

Parts of the Thumb, Southern Ontario, and SW Lower Michigan will see the bulk of the snow being closest to the big lakes. There is a Lake Effect Advisory in the Thumb near Bad Axe and Sandusky where snow could stack up to a couple of additional inches.

It's going to be another chilly start tomorrow morning in the 20s and afternoon highs are on a slow rise all week.

Expect more sunshine, cold breezes, and highs in the upper 30s.

Some neighborhoods will see 40 degrees Wednesday but again with the wind, it's going to feel chilly all day.

We will eventually see temps hit 50 degrees again by the weekend but a couple of rain showers may get in our way.
