DETROIT -

Sunday afternoon will be mostly cloudy and remain very cold. Highs will be in the upper teens with wind chills below 10. Families will need to bundle up and give road crews plenty of room on the roads as they head to events like the Taste of Troy at the San Marino Club on Big Beaver.

Skies will clear slowly Sunday evening with temperatures falling into the low teens. People honoring volunteers at Habitat for Humanity Detroit's Habbie Awards at the Max M. Fisher Music Center will need to dress warmly.

Sunday night will be come fair and frigid with overnight lows in the lower single digits and wind chills below zero.

Monday and Tuesday will be sunnier. Although it is early March, afternoon highs will be 25 to 30 degrees below average. Normal highs are near 40. Actual afternoon temps will be between 10 and 15 degrees both days. Tuesday will have a few scattered snow showers. 

Wednesday, Thursday and Friday will be partly sunny, not as cold but still have below-average readings. Daytime temps will approach freezing or more by Friday.
