Snow squalls to snow showers

Roads to stay slick as temps bottom out near 10 degrees across southeast Michigan

DETROIT – Heavy snow squalls are coming to an end across Metro Detroit but the snow was blinding at times and sticking to the roads.

Side streets and highways will stay slick through Sunday morning as temps will bottom out between 10 and 15 degrees. Snow squalls change to light snow showers through the evening and overnight and wind chills will be near zero by morning.

   The Thumb region is under a Winter Weather Advisory through Saturday Evening for a few inches of fresh snow enhanced by winds coming off of Lake Huron.

   Sunday will be cool everywhere with highs only in the low to mid 20s. We will see a mix of sun and clouds with wind chills in the teens through the afternoon.
