Start to the weekend will be sunny and clear

Temps will be near 70 Friday

DETROIT – Motown's string of spectacular weather days continues Friday and into the weekend.

Friday morning will be cool and mainly clear with temps in the middle and upper 40s. The afternoon will not be as warm as the past two days, but it will be mostly sunny and spring-like. Highs will be in the low 70s with an east wind 5 to 10 mph.

Boating weather looks terrific too. Waves will be 1 to 2 feet, and an easterly wind will blow at 6 to 12 knots Friday. Water temperature will be in the chilly 40s and low 50s, though. All boaters must have life-preservers for their passengers and themselves. A radio and phone are must-haves, as well.

Friday night will be cool and partly cloudy with lows near 50.

Saturday morning may have a lot of clouds overhead, but it will be dry. Race For The Cure participants will need their pink jackets, sweatshirts and hats to stay warm in the cool morning air with temps in the 50s. Saturday afternoon will be partly sunny and mild with highs in the low 70s.

Sunday will be warmer and remain dry with highs in the upper 70s.

The best chance of any precipitation will be early next week.
