Steamy, foggy morning Wednesday

Highs near 90

DETROIT – Radar very early shows a few very light showers that may very quickly drip on some of our northern counties. But, a lot of those little showers will not survive.

We should see some areas around Metro Detroit around 90 degrees this afternoon. Heat index temps will be into the low and mid 90s so make sure you take it easy out there. Today's heat brings the chance for a few pop up thundershowers with the peak heat of the day. Hazy sun to partly sunny skies and the more clouds we get, the better preventing highs from soaring too quickly. Still, keep your eyes to the skies after lunch today.

A line of rain and thundershowers will blow through tomorrow. We may see a few showers around in the morning hours and another round into the afternoon. Highs should hit the mid to upper 80s depending on cloud cover and when the rain moves in. This should be more widespread rain and thunder around SE Michigan but not everybody gets wet. A few showers may linger into early Friday.

Friday may start with a few showers, but we expect mostly to partly sunny skies to prevail with lower humidity. Highs Friday afternoon through the Holiday weekend should be in the mid 80s with lesser humidity and more comfortable conditions coming your way.
