Storms move out, humidity stays tonight in metro Detroit

Thundershowers flood some roadways, topple trees

DETROIT – Rain and thunderstorms ripped through metro Detroit Tuesday evening, causing some roadways to flood and knocking down trees.

DTE Energy said 120,000 customers are without power after the storms.

A few lingering showers early Wednesday should clear and the air will be much more comfortable post cold front.

We'll see highs in the 70s for a few days with more wet weather by the end of the work week.  

Expect scattered rain and thundershowers Friday through the Labor Day Weekend.

Right now, it looks like Saturday could be the wettest day of the weekend ahead.
