DETROIT -

The first round of showers and storms moved through Detroit Tuesday evening and baseball is under way at Comerica Park with the Tigers battling the White Sox. However Detroit and the rest of Southeast Michigan remain under the gun for more showers and storms by midnight and afterward into Wednesday morning. Temps will be in the low 70s.

Some storms could be heavy Wednesday morning for commuters. Anyone driving to work may run into puddles and ponds on the roads and low visibility.

The wet weather is ahead of a cold front that will put an end to Southeast Michigan's pattern of muggy, stormy weather. Highs will be in the middle 80s, but it will be drier and more comfortable by Wednesday evening.

Good sleeping weather returns Wednesday night with fair skies and lows near 60. Air conditioners can get a rest, and residents can cut down on their electric bills.

Thursday and Friday will have highs near 80 degrees. It is slightly cooler than average, but perfect pool weather.

Saturday and Sunday will be warmer and remain comfortable. Highs will be in the low 80s with mostly sunny skies.
