DETROIT – Please join me on Twitter (@AndrewLocal4) for regular weather updates.

Clouds gather, thicken and lower Saturday night with snow developing from a storm approaching from the south. Snow will start falling after midnight for anyone dancing the night away. Roads will be more sloppy by Sunday morning.

Snow is likely Sunday. Morning is the time of day when the snow will be most widespread and heavy. Families traveling to and from services must exercise extreme caution while driving. Snow will be heavier south of 8 Mile Road, including downtown Detroit. Flakes become lighter and more scattered Sunday afternoon. By the end of it all, 1 to 3 inches of new snow will be common with 2, 3 and (in isolated spots) 4 inches more likely in Lenawee and Monroe Counties. Temps will be in the middle and upper 20s. during the day.

Monday will be sunnier with morning lows in the teens and afternoon highs near 30 degrees. Tuesday will have rising temps with snow and rain showers and highs in the middle 30s. Daytime temps in the 30s will be common for the rest of the work-week, next week.
