Sunshine sticking around, rain around the corner

Rain to arrive later this week

Monday noon weather for 6/9/14

DETROIT – It's going to be a great spring week around SE Michigan with some midweek rain and a dandy of a Father's Day forecast.

Monday will be nice and mild, with some cloud cover and a good deal of hazy sunshine.

That afternoon cloud cover is the variable for warmth, meaning enough afternoon clearing will lead highs to near 80 degrees.

But, partly sunny skies will likely mean highs hover in the upper 70s with light winds ENE 5-10 mph.

Tuesday will be a bit more cloudy but looks dry … for now.

Some model data brings a few late afternoon showers around Metro Detroit.

I believe the rain will hold off until early Wednesday morning and will lead to a mid-week stormy soaker.

Highs on Tuesday will again be in the mid-to upper 70s depending on cloud cover.

Wednesday's rain may slow you down on the morning drive and will likely be on and off throughout the day.

Rain cooled air will drop temps from time to time into the 60s. But, any afternoon dry periods will see high temps climbing back into the mid 70s.

A few scattered showers will linger Thursday before a clearing pattern as we head into the Father's Day Weekend. Get your complete 7 Day forecast on clickondetroit.com and on the Weather links:
