Sunshine with more fall-like conditions Saturday

Highs in the low 50s

DETROIT – After a week with record high temperatures being broken three days in a row, Detroit and Southeast Michigan snap back to reality with the feeling of fall. The sun shines brightly, too.

Saturday morning will be cold and chilly. Morning lows will be near freezing in Motown's northern and western suburbs, and be in the upper 30s in the city. Skies will be partly cloudy to mostly sunny. Families going to any Veterans' Day ceremonies or parades, the Run Of The Dead at Detroit's Patton Park, the Young Modelers Club in Eastpointe or the Bizarre Bazaar in Northville will need their hats, jackets and scarves to remain warm.

Saturday afternoon will be partly sunny to mostly cloudy and chilly. Highs will be near 50 degrees with a few sprinkles. Football fans going to the Rutgers vs. Michigan game in Ann Arbor will need to pick out the maize and blue sweatshirts, coats, hats and gloves to stay toasty at Michigan Stadium for the 3:30pm ET game. Remember it will be dark before the end of the game.

Saturday evening becomes colder, again, with temps in the middle and low 40s after dinnertime.

Saturday night will be cold and clear. Overnight lows will be in the middle and low 30s. Another night to protect pets and plants.

Sunday will be chilly with bright blue skies. It will be an excellent day for raking and blowing leaves to the curb. Highs will be near 50 degrees.

Monday and Tuesday will have more sunshine and a southerly wind to increase temperatures slightly. Instead of 70s, daytime temps will be in the middle and upper 50s.

Veterans' Day, Wednesday, will have a chance of showers, and it will be milder. Highs will be in the low 60s.
