DETROIT - After a week in which most people did not get rain on any given day, but on each of those days a heavy thunderstorm hit somebody, it appears that we'll finally get a (one day) reprieve, leaving us with a very nice summer weekend day.
While the chance for an isolated thunderstorm is not zero today, the atmosphere doesn't appear to be as unstable as it has been the previous several days, so it won't be as easy for Mother Nature to generate a storm. Any early morning fog will burn off, leaving us with mostly sunny skies…perhaps becoming partly cloudy for a while this afternoon…and highs in the low to mid 80s. Winds will once again be light and variable.
Mostly clear Sunday night, with lows in the low to mid 60s.
We return on Monday to the same type of weather pattern we've been in for the past several days, with scattered afternoon and early evening storms. Highs in the low to mid 80s.
Thunderstorms are possible again on Tuesday (perhaps more widespread coverage, and more cloud cover than on Monday), with highs in the mid 70s.
Wednesday is shaping up to be partly cloudy, with highs in the upper 70s.
Thursday and Friday right now look great, with mostly sunny or partly cloudy skies and highs near 80 and, right now, it appears that this spectacular summer weather should extend into next weekend!
