DETROIT -

Sunday morning will be mostly clear and mild with temps starting in the mid and upper 60s. It will be perfect for a morning run, bike ride or dog walk. The afternoon will be heating up again, but the humidity will be at tolerable levels. Highs will be in the middle and upper 80s with mostly sunny skies.

Anyone going to the Tigers game against the Rangers (1:08pm ET first pitch), Festival of Hope in Southfield, Art in the Park in Plymouth or any other outdoor activity should wear plenty of sunscreen for protection and drink a lot of water to stay hydrated and beat the heat. Same thing for spectators at the APBA Gold Cup at Belle Isle.

Monday and the rest of the work-week will be hotter and more humid with highs 90 degrees or more and heat indexes in the mid and upper 90s. Skies will be mostly sunny Monday, and each day will have a slightly greater chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms.
