Thursday brings break from storms

Cooler, less humid with highs in the mid 70s

DETROIT – Finally…relief!

Cooler, less humid air has streamed into the Great Lakes, and you'll certainly notice the difference when you head out today.

Expect some sunshine, but partly cloudy skies will be developing…especially this afternoon.  Technically, there is the slight chance for a late afternoon sprinkle or brief, light shower, but I think most of us should remain dry.

Highs ranging from the low-to-mid 70s near I-69, to near 80 south of I-94.

Mostly clear with gorgeous sleeping weather tonight, as lows drop into the mid-to-upper 50s.

Mostly sunny on Friday, with highs near 80.  Then mostly sunny to partly cloudy this weekend, with highs warming into the mid-80s by Sunday.

Hot weather returns next week, with highs approaching 90 Monday through Wednesday.

Also, you can get the new ClickOnDetroit app (it's free!) in your app store to stay ahead of Mother Nature.
