Warm again but a bit wet Saturday

Highs near 80 degrees

DETROIT – Saturday morning will be mild with clouds and patches of clear sky. Temps will start in the middle 60s. A few showers will be around, and this will be common later in the day.

Saturday afternoon will be warm just like much of the work-week. Highs will be near 80. The air will remain unstable with scattered showers and storms possible. Michigan's homecoming football game is against Minnesota. Fans will need the blue and maize ponchos to remain dry and listen for any thunder that may threaten the contest.

Saturday evening will still have a few raindrops in the area. It will remain warm and muggy with temps in the 70s.

Overnight lows, Saturday, will be in the mild 60s. Scattered showers will diminish somewhat, but drivers should watch for showers and storms by Sunday morning. 

Sunday will be wet again with an approaching cold front. Showers and thunderstorms are likely with highs near 75.

Sports fans will note that Saturday's Game 2 of the ALDS will be warm and dry with temps in the 70s as the Oakland A's host the Detroit Tigers. The Detroit Lions will be in Green Bay taking on the Packers Sunday under Sunny skies and temps near 60 with a southwest wind 5 to 10 mph.

Cooler weather will arrive Monday and Tuesday with highs near 60 and lows in the 40s and 50s.
