Warm Monday with showers, storms returning

Temperatures well into the 60s, afternoon showers

DETROIT – Warmer, spring-like weather is on the way Monday along with more showers and thunderstorms.

Monday morning will be dry and cool with temps in the low 40s and partly cloudy skies. The afternoon will have a surge of warm air on a southwesterly wind. Highs will be middle and upper 60s. However, showers and thunderstorms will develop for the afternoon rush hour. Some storms will have gusty winds, small hail and heavy rain.

Showers and storms will diminish by midnight and it will be mild. Monday night lows will be in the upper 40s to near 50.

Tuesday will be mostly cloudy with a few on and off showers. It will be cooler with highs in the upper 50s.

Wednesday will be chillier with temps closer to 50 with the chance of showers remaining. Thursday will be warmer with wetness still in the forecast; highs back in the 60s.
