Warm, partly sunny Sunday in Detroit

DETROIT – Detroit's 4th Of July Weekend ends on a warm note Sunday before the next chance of showers and thunderstorms. It will feel more like summer.

Sunday morning will go from cool to mild with pleasant conditions for families going to services. Temperatures start in the low 60s and rise through the 70s by lunchtime.

Sunday will be partly sunny, warm and a bit more humid. Highs will be in the low and middle 80s. Breezes from the southwest will blow at 10 to 15 mph. The stage is set again for fun cookouts and family time at the pool or beach.

Skies will be cloudier Sunday evening for the nationally televised Tigers game against the Rays at Comerica Park. Temperatures will fall from the low 80s to the 70s.

Showers are in the forecast but are more likely by midnight, Sunday night and Monday morning. Overnight lows will be near 70 degrees.

Monday will have showers and thunderstorms in the morning and mid-day with afternoon temps in the low 80s. Stormy activity is likely Tuesday with highs in the 80s, again. Wet weather comes to an end by Wednesday morning. Wednesday afternoon, Thursday and Friday will be brighter and less humid. Highs will be in the middle and upper 70s Wednesday and Thursday. Friday will be near 80 or slightly more.
