Warm Sunday with showers possible

Highs will hit in the low 80s

DETROIT – Sunday morning will have fog and haze again with lows in the mid and upper 60s. Showers and a few storms will dot the landscape after 10 a.m. and linger into the afternoon.

The Tigers play the Indians beginning at 1 p.m. at Comerica Park. Ford Arts, Beats and Eats, the Detroit Jazz Festival and the Michigan State Fair will be in full swing Sunday afternoon. Fans and participants will want to bring their umbrellas in case they need to use them. Scattered showers and a few storms are possible in the early and mid-afternoon. Highs will be in the low 80s.

Showers will linger overnight from Sunday into Labor Day, Monday. Lows will be in the upper 60s.

Labor Day morning will be a bit wet, but showers leave during any parades and ceremonies. It will not be as warm with temps in the upper 70s.

Fall-like weather returns with loads of sunshine for outdoor recess when students return to school Tuesday and the rest of the week.
