Warmer and sunnier day Tuesday

Dry stretch of weather ahead

DETROIT – We'll see a nice mix of sun and clouds on your Tuesday bringing highs to near 70 degrees or slightly warmer by mid to late afternoon.

Winds NE turning East 5-10 mph may keep east siders a couple of degrees cooler. Enjoy a gorgeous day!

That sunshine sticks around for tomorrow too and the first half of Thursday.

Wednesday highs will climb into the mid to maybe upper 70s with beautiful conditions around SE Lower Michigan.

We will likely hit 80 degrees again by Thursday or Friday.  We may see a few light showers in the area late Thursday around dinner time as early model data suggests some moisture coming up from the southeast and a weak cool front moving at us from the west. But, any showers will be late and scattered about the area.

Overall, there isn't much in the forecast until maybe Sunday.

As temps heat to near 80 degrees Friday, we may see a few light rain and thundershower chance late Friday but don't hold your breath.

The better chance for rain and scattered storms is on Sunday as weekend temps will be in the mid 70s.
