Warmer Thursday, good looking Home Opener

Temps in the 50s with more sun Thursday

DETROIT – Thursday morning will be chilly and dry with temps in the 20s. The good news is a warm surge is on the way for the afternoon under blue skies.  Highs will be in the middle 50s with a southwesterly wind at 10 to 15 mph.

Thursday night will be partly cloudy with lows in the low 30s.

A weak cold front will drop temps briefly Friday for the Detroit Tigers' Home Opener. The morning will be chilly for tailgaters, and the afternoon will be cool for fans going to see the Tigers take on the Yankees.

The weekend will be back in the low and mid 50s, but some rain arrives late Saturday and Sunday.
