Warmer weather in the Friday forecast

DETROIT – A quiet start to the end of your work and school week. Partly cloudy skies with lows in the mid 30s outside of the city, to near 40 degrees this morning closer to Detroit.

With mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies, highs will be climbing back into the 60 to 65° range this afternoon.

Winds will certainly be lighter starting NE turning SSW 5-12 mph.

There is a blanket of light rain over Minnesota this morning that will spread some high clouds our way later this evening and may try to drop a few sprinkles late tonight around SE Michigan.

Saturday looks nice and warm with highs quickly climbing into the upper 60s with partly cloudy skies.

We will see scattered rain and thunder showers starting Saturday evening or night and into your Sunday.

Highs will still hover near 70° both weekend days even with showers around.

Sunday showers and storms are part of a stronger cold front bringing much cooler air into Metro Detroit early next weekour forecast data is keeping rain and possibly a few wet snowflakes in the mix both Monday and Tuesday.
