Spotty showers are the name of the game for the rest of the afternoon, but most of us will stay mostly dry most of the day.
A few showers may produce a quick downpour with isolated rumbles of thunder but nothing severe.
Highs will hit mid to upper 70s with south winds 5-15 mph. The humidity will be on the rise the next couple of days.
There is a chance for severe storms on Wednesday.
The Storm Prediction Center has placed parts of SE Michigan in that risk for storms producing dangerous lightning, damaging winds, and flash flooding downpours. The time frame for the storms is late morning through the afternoon. With the heat and humidity on the rise, high temps will bust into the low to mid 80s if and when we can break through the clouds for a few peaks of sunshine from time to time.
Thursday looks rain free with highs in the upper 70s. Friday is still a bit up in the air.
Computer models are split on whether or not we’ll see a few showers.
Although there is a slight chance for showers (mainly south of I-94), expect partly cloudy skies with highs near 80 degrees Friday through the weekend.
