Weekend weather will bring cool conditions to Metro Detroit

Big changes from Thursday's warmer air

DETROIT – Tricky travel weather south of our borders with Indiana and Ohio.

There is heavy snow through Pennsylvania, Central Ohio and Indiana, and freezing rain and ice along the Ohio River.

So, it's real dangerous heading south and southeast of Detroit today.

Here in SE Michigan, we will only see a range from the upper 20s to the low 30s throughout your Friday with wind chills near 20 degrees. We may get a quick snow shower in Monroe and Lenawee counties with a glancing blow well south of I-94.

Get ready for a chilly weekend and a bit more sunshine. Saturday will start with single digit wind chills and only warm into the mid to upper 20s. Sunday will again start cold in the teens and then upper 20s for highs with mostly cloudy skies.

There's a pretty good chance of measureable snow starting early Monday morning. Even if it's lighter snow, it will be a rough Monday morning commute. So stay tuned, we'll keep you posted right here all weekend.
