Rain, afternoon cooldown expected for Black Friday

Grab the umbrella Black Friday shoppers. Friday's rain will last well into the afternoon and could linger into the early evening hours before we begin to dry out.

Temps will be warmest early in the day in the mid to upper 50s. That rain will cut temps some but the big drop in temps comes mid to late afternoon.

We will see a sharp drop in temps as a cold front blasts through by 3pm where 50s become mid 40s very fast. Winds shift SW 10-20 to NW 7-17 mph in the afternoon.

We could even see a wintry mix through the evening hours in a few spots.

Saturday will start mostly cloudy with very little moisture left to tap into and more sunshine expected through the day.

So we go from partly to mostly sunny and cool starting in the low 30s and warming only into the low and mid 40s. Winds will be cooling us even more around SE Lower Michigan and Southern Ontario NW/NE 5-12 mph.

Sunday will be on the cooler side again with lots of sunshine. Temps start in the upper 20s and warm again into the mid 40s.

The next chance for wet weather comes late Monday and/or Tuesday ahead. With today's big rain, get radar to go on the FREE Local4Casters Weather and Storm Pins apps free in your app store under WDIV.
