DETROIT -

Radar continues to show light rain pouring in with very little relief in sight.

But, some computer models hint at a few lighter showers/drizzle through the afternoon.

There could be a couple of opportunities for trick-or-treaters, but more rain will fill in.  Highs in the mid 60s or warmer with winds SW 15-25 mph.  Some gusts could be 30-40mph or stronger and we have been placed under a slight risk for severe weather.. mainly south of I-94.

Most of the real nasty weather is south of us but a few stronger storms could produce dangerous wind gusts.

A High Wind Watch starts Thursday Evening and runs into Friday with gusty winds that could be damaging. Sustained winds could be 25-35 mph with gusts near 50-60 mph overnight. Be careful and protect what you can outdoors. Lows drop into the 50s with rain showers still likely.

After the rain, a rush of cooler air will blow in for the weekend. Highs Friday only expected to be in the mid to upper 50s with gusty winds W 10-20 mph. Skies will be partly to mostly cloudy even after the morning rain showers. There is a chance for a few scattered afternoon showers as well.

What about your weekend? There’s a good chance for a few afternoon showers Saturday too as highs struggle in the upper 40s to near 50 degrees.
