Widely scattered showers Saturday in metro Detroit

Cloudy with a chance of rain

A few stray showers and sprinkles moved through parts of southeast Michigan early this morning, but quickly fizzled out.

Metro Detroit will see mostly cloudy skies today, with some areas to the west and south getting a pop up shower later this evening. Our model shows the chances of those stray showers mostly being in our western and southern suburbs like Washtenaw, Lenawee and Livingston counties. Those showers shouldn't amount to much. The cloud coverage will hinder us from reaching 80 degree temps. Today's high is 79. NNE wind 3-6 mph.

Sunday looks dry with more sunshine, but we will remain in the upper 70s. The more sunshine we get, the higher the chances are for us to reach 80.

Still tracking rain showers and thunderstorm chances on Monday.
