Lows in the 40s

DETROIT - The region's Wind Advisory has expired.

Thursday night has cold front cruising through with chillier air. We say "good-bye" to the 80s for now, but at least we have sunshine for Friday.

A cold front breezes through Thursday night. After midnight, temps plummet. Homeowners will need to switch from air conditioning to heating. Overnight lows will be in the 40s.

Friday will be mostly sunny and noticeably cooler. Jackets will be needed in the morning and early afternoon. Temps will be 20 to 30 degrees lower than Thursday afternoon. Highs will be in the upper 50s and low 60s.

Saturday will be partly sunny and milder with highs closer to 70 degrees. Scattered showers and storms are possible, but the day will not be a wash-out.

Rain is more likely Sunday. Temps will be in the upper 70s ahead of a cold front.

Sunshine returns Monday with highs back in the 60s.
