DETROITWinter Weather Advisory Until 10am in Oakland, Livingston, St. Clair, and Lapeer Counties

A burst of snow is dropping a widespread couple of inches of snow with isolated areas possibly seeing 3-4" through early Saturday morning. The moderate snow should quiet down a bit by 8am but light snow showers will linger through late morning or early afternoon. Skies become mostly cloudy with highs in the mid 30s.

 Impacts...

  * Snow covered and slippery untreated roads.

  * Pockets of reduced visibilities of less than a mile for motorists traveling during the early morning hours.

  * A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow will cause travel difficulties.  Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities..and use caution while driving.

Sunday is St. Patrick's Day and it will be a bit on the cool side with lows in the morning in the mid 20s and afternoon highs in the mid 30s once again. The difference is the return of some sunshine mixed with partly cloudy skies.
