Winter Weather Advisory issued for parts of SE Michigan

St. Clair, Sanilac, and Lapeer Counties under advisory until 10 p.m. Saturday

There is a Winter Weather Advisory issued for St. Clair, Sanilac, and Lapeer Counties until 10 p.m. Saturday.

Snow showers will develop across all of southeast Michigan Saturday, but as winds turn to the north and northeast later Saturday, some enhanced snow bands will traverse parts of the advisory counties and give those areas 2 to 4 inches of snow.  The rest of us could see an inch, or possibly even a little more than that during the course of the day and evening.

Highs will be in the mid to upper 20s Saturday.  Evening snow showers end, then expect partial clearing overnight, with lows dropping into the upper single numbers.

We get back to some sunshine on Sunday, with highs only in the low 20s, and wind chills near zero or even a little below zero.  The week ahead looks to be an active one, weather-wise, with storm systems to deal with Monday night and Friday.  We'll keep you updated!
