Morning fog with warmer temps later

Few isolated showers possible

DETROIT – Get ready for a very summer-like Thursday!

A little morning fog around today, especially in some of our rural suburbs. Otherwise very calm conditions for most of the day.

Sunshine will break through the fog and haze around 9 or 10am and temps will begin to soar.

We'll go from the 50s early today, to the 70s by lunch and low 80s through the middle afternoon.

We may see a few isolated showers with the heat of the afternoon, but most of the stormy weather is hanging back in the middle of the country.

Most of Friday looks warm and dry.  Highs will hit the low and mid 80s and could be near a record high.

A very slow moving cool front will approach the area late Friday bringing scattered storm chances into the evening hours.

We are under NO risk for severe weather, but we need to watch out for a few isolated storm cells developing packing a punch. Most of the storms come in overnight and into Saturday.

The weekend will be hit and miss with rain and thundershowers.  Saturday will be the wetter of the weekend days with scattered storms and highs reaching for 80 degrees.

Mother's Day will be partly sunny with mid 70s and a slight chance for a shower or two. It's a big weekend, so we will keep updating you on air and online clickondetroit.com.
