DETROIT – There was a rumor several years ago that the WNBA was on the verge of collapse, and that the league would just go away and wallow in bankruptcy.

Well, check out the WNBA today. It’s thriving thanks to this past season of women’s college basketball and the emergence of Caitlin Clark.

As you know, she personally put the sport on her back this past season and carried it to the NCAA title game.

The fans reacted to her like she was a messiah. And tonight, she begins her professional career with the Indiana Fever. They are playing the Connecticut Sun in Connecticut. And the game is a total sellout!

You don’t hear that very often for women’s basketball, but everyone wants to see Caitlin Clark. And why not?

She has handled her fame and wealth like she’s been doing it her entire life. Her play on the court has been stellar. Now everyone wants to see if she can take it to the next level.

When she walks on the court tonight on an opponent’s floor, don’t be surprised if she gets a standing ovation. That’s been normal for Caitlin Clark wherever she goes. The next stop begins tonight!
