Fire burns at Ann Arbor's St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store

Historic building dates back to 1832

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Fire crews are fighting a fire at the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store in Ann Arbor.

The building is on Broadway and Swift. The owner of the historic building, which dates back to 1832, said it's one of the oldest commercial buildings in Ann Arbor and the state of Michigan. The building is called the Anson Brown Building. 

There are also apartments on the second floor of the building. Two of the three units were occupied and evacuated. Everyone made it out safe. 

However, one Ann Arbor police officer was transported to a hospital to be treated for smoke inhilation.
