Ann Arbor Art Center 'Straight Up' series back on Sept. 28

This month's event will feature PBR-inspired art from local artists

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Love beer and art? See them combine on Thursday, Sept. 28 at the Ann Arbor Art Center's September edition of "Straight Up" - a series that features local artists.

This month's theme? Pabst Blue Ribbon beer, more commonly known as PBR. The beverage company is holding its annual national PBRART challenge, where artists can win $30,000 in cash prizes, have their art displayed in bars across the country and get the chance to be featured on 30 million cans. The event is an after party for the Ann Arbor Art Center's annual fundraiser event A2 Art and Brew.

Come out to Alley Bar between 7 p.m. - 2 a.m. for a one-night-only sale and pop-up show, and tunes by DJ DAYGGS.

As part of Alley Bar's Giveaway Thursday's series, 10 percent of all beverage proceeds will be donated to Autism Alliance of Michigan.
