Dickey's Barbecue Pit opening in Ann Arbor Oct. 26

The new location is bringing Texas-style barbecue to Tree Town

ANN ARBOR – Texas-style barbecue chain Dickey's Barbecue Pit is opening a new location in Ann Arbor on Thursday. 

With locations across the U.S., the company is excited for the launch of their newest store on 3500 Washtenaw Ave. by franchisees William and Rebecca Kaufman. "The Dickey family congratulates William and Rebecca Kaufman on opening their first Dickey's Barbecue Pit location," Laura Rea Dickey, CEO of Dickey's Barbecue Restaurants, Inc said. "With passionate owners such as the Kaufmans the Dickey's brand will continue to grow and be successful."

William Kaufman, a born and raised Ann Arborite, discovered Texas-style barbecue while visiting the Lone Star state with his family. "We are thrilled to bring Dickey's delicious barbecue to the Ann Arbor community and look forward to opening our second location," he said.

To kick off its launch, Dickey's Ann Arbor will be featuring specials and giveaways, including a year's worth of free barbecue for three lucky guests.

Over the next month, customers can enjoy:

Thirsty Thursdays: Guests will receive a free Big Yellow Cup with free refills all day.

Philanthropy Fridays: "You Give, We Give" – Guests who donate to Dickey's charitable foundation, Barbecue, Boots & Badges, will receive a gift card as a thank you for their donation. All uniformed first responders also receive 50 percent off their meal.

Smokin' Saturday: Guests may purchase $2 Pulled Pork Sandwiches all day. Limit two.

Kids Eat Free Sundays: Kids eat free with an adult purchase of $10 or more.
